Wrocław Stag Do & Bachelor Party: the Rynek, Pasaż Niepolda and a Party Boat on the Oder
Vodka with herring on the Rynek, clubs in the cellars of the Pasaż Niepolda, beer on Wyspa Słodowa and a party boat on the Oder: here's how to plan your stag do or hen party in Wrocław, with the best things to do and prices in złoty.
Good to know
Stag & hen do planning tips
💶
What does a night out cost?
A beer (0.5 l) costs 16 zł on average in bars, and at the Przybij Piątaka student pub you get 0.3 l for 6 zł; shots 6–13 zł in a pub and 16–24 zł in a club, cocktails 12–24 zł in a pub and 24–45 zł in a club. Mainstream clubs such as Poziom 1 charge no entry, Czarny Kot at most 20 zł. You pay in złoty; tip about 10%, in cash on the table.
17 night bus lines numbered 206 and 240 to 259 run every night, roughly hourly; the 206 links the airport, the main station and the coach station. Single ticket 4.60 zł, 24-hour ticket 15 zł, 72 hours 32 zł, card only on the bus. Bolt, Uber and FREENOW operate; the maximum taxi fare is 9 zł flag fall and 6 zł per km at night.
There's no closing time: in the Pasaż Niepolda, Mundo 71 and Wściekły Pies run until 06:00 Thursday to Saturday, Przedwojenna on the Rynek until 07:00 on Fridays, Ambasada until 07:00. Shops and petrol stations across the city don't sell alcohol between 22:00 and 06:00; bars and restaurants keep serving. So stock up before 22:00, or stay in the bar.
⚠️
What's banned?
Drinking alcohol in public is banned in Poland, in streets, squares and parks, with a 100 zł fine. Wrocław's exception is Wyspa Słodowa: by city council resolution you can drink outdoors there, but not on the Rynek or the Oder boulevards. At the Pasaż Niepolda, security take away any bottles you bring. If you're driving: 0.2 per mille, on a bike too. Bring ID.
🧙
Dwarfs and zakąski
Wrocław has more than 1,000 bronze dwarfs, about 30 cm tall; the first stood on the corner of Świdnicka and Kazimierza Wielkiego, and they go back to the Orange Alternative of the 1980s. The second local speciality is vodka bars with zakąski: herring, steak tartare or aspic with your shot, 7 zł each at Ambasada, 4 zł at the Pijalnia according to the guide. If you say “dziękuję” when you pay, you're telling them to keep the change.
✈️
Getting there
Non-stop to Wrocław (WRO): Lufthansa from Frankfurt and Munich and Swiss from Zurich, from Frankfurt in about 1 h 20 min; there are currently no direct flights from Berlin or Vienna. The EuroCity from Berlin runs 3 times a day and takes about 4 hours, saver fares from €27.99; FlixBus from Berlin 13 times a day in 3 h 40 min from €18.98, from Dresden in 2 h 55 min from €16.48. From the airport, bus 106 takes 42 minutes to the main station for 4.60 zł.
🛏️
Where to stay
For a hotel for your stag or hen do in Wrocław, the Old Town around the Rynek keeps everything close, and that's also where the most expensive hotels are; hostels are mostly near the Rynek, with dorm beds at 40–70 zł per person according to the city. From the main station it's a 15 to 20-minute walk to the Rynek. Busy weekends: the beer festival and the night half marathon in June, the marathon in September, the Christmas market from late November.
☀️
Weather and plan B
July is the warmest month, with an average of 19.7 °C, and with 91.4 mm also the wettest, mostly as showers; January averages 0 °C. The best time to go is June to August, and outdoor seating runs until 14 November. Plan B if it rains: escape rooms at Exit19, bowling at Sky Bowling, karting at the Wroclavia, axe throwing, Hydropolis or the saunarium at the Aquapark.

Budget
How much does a stag or hen do in Wrocław cost?
In Wrocław, half a litre of beer costs 16 zł on average in bars, a shot in a student pub 6–13 zł, and a cocktail in a club 24–45 zł. The shooting range, axe-throwing lanes for big groups and charter boats are what push the budget up; the Pijalnia, Ambasada and the shot sets at Przybij Piątaka keep it down.

72-hour ticket: for 32 zł you can ride trams, buses and night buses for three days; the 24-hour ticket costs 15 zł.
Clubs with free entry: Poziom 1 costs nothing, Czarny Kot nothing before 21:00 and at most 20 zł at weekends.

Guide prices per person, based on the prices of the venues and tours on this page. The bride or groom usually doesn't pay; their share is split across the group. The planner above adds up what your programme costs.
