Bachelorette Party Buttons & Badges: Slogans, Styles & DIY

Bachelorette party buttons and badges as a cheap group accessory for the hen do: popular slogans, styles and sizes, what they cost and how to make your own.

Updated 1 July 2026

Buttons and badges are the cheapest accessory that makes a group instantly recognisable as a hen or stag party. They often cost just a few cents each, don’t catch the bouncer’s eye and stay behind as a little memento. Here’s everything that matters: popular slogans, the different styles and sizes, what they cost and how to design your own.

Why buttons and badges?

A button brings the group feeling without anyone having to dress up. It makes you visible as a crew that belongs together, provides a bit of conversation material with a slogan or photo, and costs next to nothing. It’s particularly handy for mixed groups, because everyone who doesn’t want to wear a costume or sash can still join in.

The biggest advantage shows at the door: unlike an eye-catching outfit, a button comes off in seconds and disappears into a pocket if a club isn’t keen on letting in obvious hen or stag groups. Once inside, it’s back on just as quickly.

Slogans and prints

There’s not much space on a button, so a short, clear text is what counts. Popular prints include:

  • “Team Bride” / “Team Groom”
  • “Bride Crew” / “Groom Crew”
  • “Bride to be”
  • “Official Hen Party Member”
  • “Team [Name]”
  • “[Name]‘s Last Night as a Single”

The guest of honour often gets a standout button with a special slogan, while the crew wear the matching counterpart. If you want something of your own, our collection of the best hen party slogans has plenty of templates to adapt.

Styles from pins to stickers

Buttons come with several kinds of fastening. Safety pins are the standard and hold on almost any fabric, magnetic backs are kind to delicate clothing, and simple sticker buttons are the cheapest but only last one night. For size, diameters between 37 and 58 millimetres are usual: smaller ones look discreet, larger ones give more room for a slogan and design and stand out better in photos.

If you like things colourful, go for multipacks, which often include bracelets and headpieces as well as buttons. They’re cheap and colour-coordinated but can’t be personalised.

What buttons cost

Buttons are among the cheapest hen and stag do accessories of all:

  • Simple pin badges from about €1 each, cheaper in packs of ten
  • Sticker buttons from around €2.50 per set
  • Multipacks for ten people from around €20
  • Personalised buttons depending on quantity, only worthwhile for larger orders

The smaller your order of personalised buttons, the more each one costs. To see how this item fits into the overall budget, take a look at our overview of bachelorette party costs.

Making your own buttons

There are two ways DIY pays off. The simplest is to buy plain blank buttons and write on them with a permanent marker or stick small designs on them. Choose a dark surface with a light pen or the other way round so the text stays readable.

If you want to produce your own designs neatly, you’ll need a badge-making machine. You print the slogan, photo or design on paper, cut it to button size and press it under the film onto the blanks. That’s mainly worth it for lots of buttons or if you’ll use the machine for other occasions. A group photo of the guest of honour on the button goes down particularly well, and your photo challenges will supply suitable shots.

Combining buttons cleverly

A button has the most impact as part of a coordinated look. Combined with a printed T-shirt or a sash, it creates a coherent picture without anyone having to wear a full-body costume. Stick to a shared colour and a consistent theme, and the group looks planned rather than thrown together. You’ll find more small eye-catchers in our guide to accessories and decorations. Frequently asked questions

How much do bachelorette party buttons cost?
Simple pin buttons start at about €1 each and get cheaper in packs of ten. Multipacks with buttons, bracelets and headpieces start at around €20 for ten people. Personalised buttons only pay off once you order larger quantities.
Can you make hen party badges without a machine?
Yes. Buy plain blank buttons and write on them with a permanent marker or stick small designs on them. You only need a badge-making machine if you want to press your own designs neatly under the film.
What size is usual?
Diameters between 37 and 58 millimetres are standard. Smaller buttons are discreet; larger ones give you more room for a slogan and design and stand out better in photos.
Can you wear buttons to a club?
Usually, yes. Unlike a full costume, a button hardly stands out and can be taken off in seconds at the door and slipped into a pocket. That makes it the easy choice for a night that includes a club.
What do you put on a hen do badge?
Short classics such as "Team Bride", "Bride to be" or "Bride Crew" are popular, plus the name or an in-joke about the guest of honour. The main thing is that the text is short and readable at a glance.
